Hah, I had something similar (but caught way before release) happen. Apparently, web browsers respect as " " at load time, but if you inject through Java script, it comes out " ". Bitch rules like that are why I am more of a firmware engineer than a software engineer. The closer to the hardware you get, the fewer "well, some engineer thought the best way to do something was to do _____" rules you encounter.
